Meet Malcolm & Trevor
Malcolm and Trevor’s story begins long before Advanced Plastering Inc. was ever imagined — rooted in craft, curiosity, and a shared respect for a trade that has shaped architecture for centuries.
Malcolm, known as The Alchemist of Stucco, co-founded Advanced Plastering Inc. in 2006 alongside his best friend, Chay Ellis. Together, they made their mark across the Tri-State area with exceptional stucco, plaster, and historic restoration work, earning a reputation for craftsmanship that blended precision with artistry.
Trevor, The Renaissance Man, spent years managing custom home builds before returning to his first love: plastering. Drawn to the expressive beauty of luxury finishes, he reconnected with the trade to pursue its artistic and architectural potential.
Both Malcolm and Trevor began their careers at just 16 years old through the prestigious City & Guilds trade education program in Great Britain — a foundation that set them on journeys spanning the globe. From Russia and Germany to France, Spain, New Zealand, and Australia, they absorbed techniques, refined their skills, and built a philosophy rooted in both tradition and experimentation.
Their paths finally crossed in Cincinnati and in 2021 they joined forces to take Advanced Plastering Inc. to the next level — not just preserving a dying trade, but reimagining it for the modern world. Today, they are leading what they call the 21st Century Plastering Renaissance, merging old-world craftsmanship with innovation and excellence.
