EIFS Repair Process

Expert EIFS (Exterior Insulation & Finish System) Repairs

Dry vit & Sto Specialists

At Advanced Plastering Inc., we restore your synthetic stucco system to prevent water intrusion, mold,
and structural damage. Our British-trained experts ensure seamless, long-lasting repairs.

What is EIFS?

EIFS is a synthetic stucco system (like Dryvit or Sto) that combines insulation, a drainage plane, and a flexible acrylic finish. Unlike traditional stucco, it requires specialized repair to maintain its waterproof barrier.

Our 7-Step EIFS
Repair Process

Step 1

Gain a Third party Inspection & Diagnosis

Identify damage using moisture meters, thermal imaging, and your inspection report. Check for cracks, delamination, or water pockets

Step 2

Surface Preparation
Remove damaged base coat, insulation, and finish. Cut out affected areas precisely to avoid spreading moisture.

Step 3

Insulation Board Replacement
Install new rigid foam insulation boards (EPS or XPS) and secure with adhesive/fasteners for proper R-value.

Step 4

Drainage Plane Installation
Apply weather-resistant barrier (WRB) and drainage mat to ensure water escapes—critical for EIFS systems.

Step 5

Base Coat Application
Embed reinforcing mesh into base coat for crack resistance. Feather edges for seamless blending.

Step 6

Finish Coat & Texture Matching

Apply acrylic finish in your exact color and texture (smooth, stucco, or custom). We pride ourselves in perfect matching.

Step 7

Sealing & Final Waterproof Test
Apply silicone sealants to joints. Test with water spray to guarantee 100% waterproofing.
